Dive resort Oceans 5 has 2 in the house PADI Course Directors who are conducting the PADI IDCs. The main PADI Course Director is Joeri van Hal and Sander Buis, the owner of Oceans 5, helps the IDCs when help is needed.

Joeri became PADI Course Director in June 2015. Since that time he is teaching the Instructor Development Courses at Oceans 5. He became an instructor in 2011 at Oceans 5 and worked himself up to PADI Course Director.

Joeri’s philosophy is relax and don’t worry! Joeri is a master to get candidates in a relaxing mood. He conducts the Instructor Course over 13 days and these days are starting at 8.30 till 17.00. After that there is a preparation for the next day at the relaxing areas around the “Coffee and Thyme” bar. Joeri likes that all his candidates become flexible instructors, so there is no one way of teaching. As long the candidates stay in between the rules and regulations of PADI.

PADI 5 star Career Development Center Oceans 5

Dive resort Oceans 5 is a PADI 5 star Career Development Center located on the beautiful Gili Islands in Indonesia. Oceans 5 conducts every month a PADI Instructor Course and can do this in the following languages, English, Dutch, French, Spanish and German.

What Oceans 5 so unique makes are the fantastic facilities for a PADI IDC. Oceans will have from the first of January 2016 two training pools and one specially dedicated for PADI IDCs.

Another major benefit is a huge classroom at Oceans 5 property just a few steps away from the new IDC  training pool. The candidates have just open the doors of the classroom and they will see the pool in less then 2 meters. The pool is 20 meters long and 5 meters width.

Oceans 5 has an experienced IDC team. There are two PADI Course Directors in the house, a PADI Master Instructor and tree PADI IDC staff instructors.

Also Gili Air is not that busy like Gili Trawangan. And even there is nightlife, bars and restaurants on Gili Air.  Gili Is isn’t that famous for clubbing. The place is perfect for the IDC because there is less distraction.
